In 2025, Ocean Sole continued to transform ocean waste into opportunity — proving that creative, community-led solutions can drive real change.

The Ocean Sole TurtleSafe Project, initiated by our Coastal Impact Manager, Thomas Sagimo, in collaboration with the Kenya Wildlife Service - Watamu, is a testament to our dedication to ocean conservation through protection of sea turtles in Kilifi, Kenya.

The Ocean Sole CARES Program, is an initiative designed to nurture the well-being of our employees and foster sustainable community development. 

At Ocean Sole, we are committed to turning flip-flop pollution–one every minute– into art and opportunity in Kenya, but our mission goes beyond art. We recognize the critical importance of maintaining clean beaches and waterways, not only for the beauty of these environments but for their vital role in supporting healthy ecosystems and communities in Kenya.

At Ocean Sole, education is at the heart of our mission to protect our oceans and promote sustainable living. We offer a variety of engaging and impactful educational programs designed to inspire and empower individuals of all ages to take action for a cleaner, healthier planet.

Our partnership with The Leaf Charity is essential to helping our overall health of the Indian Ocean.  Since our partnership was formed we fund tree planting events, collaborate on educational seminars and work together to integrate with our actionable charities in our region.

Along the picturesque shores of Kilifi, a powerful movement is taking root. The Ocean Mamaz, a team of about twenty women, all self-organised, are a testament to what communities can achieve when united by a common cause.
